The Privateer Story
Ridgeline Racing exists because racing is worth doing properly, regardless of budget. We prepare every component, analyse every session and earn every tenth.
We are a small independent British Superbike operation working out of a compact race workshop in Derbyshire. No factory support, no spare budget, no room for anything that does not make the bike faster or more reliable. Two fully prepared motorcycles, two riders, seven core crew, and a preparation standard we refuse to drop.
Between rounds we run private tests, rider coaching, development sessions, sponsor days and corporate partner experiences. The same discipline applies to all of it: plan the day, record what happened, act on the data.

Every member of the Ridgeline crew owns a defined area of the operation — and covers two more when the weekend demands it.
Team Principal / Managing Director
Strategy, commercial, championship entries
Founded Ridgeline after years around motorcycle race engineering and specialist vehicle preparation. Runs strategy, finances, supplier relationships and long-term development — hands-on, in the workshop, most weeks.
Crew Chief
Setup, geometry, suspension, technical sign-off
Responsible for the technical preparation and performance of both motorcycles. Owns geometry, suspension decisions, gearing, component lifing and race weekend technical calls. The bridge between rider and engineering crew.
Data & Electronics Engineer
ECU, telemetry, traction control, sensors
Owns data acquisition, ECU configuration, engine maps, traction and engine braking strategies, sensor calibration and session comparison. Every setup change is validated against logged data before it leaves the garage.
Senior Race Technician
Primary motorcycle preparation
Prepares and signs off the number 23 primary Superbike. Mechanical inspections, brake servicing, chassis changes, drivetrain, torque and fluid checks, and crash repair when the weekend goes sideways.
Race Technician
Spare bike, components, bodywork
Runs the spare and development motorcycle, component preparation, bodywork, wheel changes, pit setup and workshop servicing. Keeps the spares flow moving between transporter and garage.
Tyre & Equipment Technician
Tyre allocation, pressures, paddock equipment
Manages tyre allocation, pressures, warmers and temperature data, plus the wheel inventory, fuel equipment, generators, stands and garage build. If it comes off the transporter, Jack knows where it goes.
Commercial & Partnerships Manager
Sponsorship, hospitality, partner reporting
Looks after sponsorship, partner deliverables, hospitality, guest passes, media days, content schedules and B2B introductions across the Ridgeline partner network.
Photographer / Content Producer
Photography, paddock video, sponsor content
Freelance media support across selected race weekends. Photography, paddock video, rider interviews, sponsor content and race reports. External contractor rather than permanent crew.
